Yin Yoga is about giving yourself permission to come back to yourself. To get back in touch with you and to tend to your body and listen to the subtle voice of your intuition.
It is a gentle and relaxing, slow-paced practice that reduces stress and anxiety, calming the mind and body. It works deeply in the connective tissues, nourishing joints, ligaments, and fascia, promoting a healthy flow of energy throughout the body.
The practice consists of mainly seated or lying postures that are held for 1-5 minutes that work the areas that are especially rich in connective tissue like the hips, pelvis, lower spine, even the toes, ankles and shoulders. A Yin practice has wonderful emotional and health benefits and is suitable for all fitness levels and body types.
